Are you searching for the finest art galleries in Travis County, Texas? Look no further! From the Austin Art Garage to the Davis Gallery, there are plenty of remarkable art galleries in the area that showcase photography and digital artwork. Women & Their Work is a great place to begin, as they specialize in up-and-coming Austin artists and offer reasonable yet affordable prices. The Davis Gallery is another excellent option, as it pays special tribute to the American wilderness and features the work of artist couple Felice House and Dana Younger. Riches Art Gallery is a much-loved, black-owned art venue on East 6th Street.

Founded by experienced watercolor artist and former South Texas football player, Richard Samuel, the vibrant gallery hosts weekly events, including live drawing classes, conferences and stand-up shows. The GrayDuck Gallery is another great choice, as it has presented exhibits that are truly remarkable and has options in every price range. Art for the People is a small art gallery in a quaint house that was formerly a tattoo studio on South 1st Street. It was through Art for the People that I discovered Robots in Rowboats and thus bought some copies on their Etsy to send to my friends.

The best thing about Art for the People is that they are next to Dulce Neve, and it's a must stop before or after visiting this local art gallery. I recently attended an Austin Learnshop class at Art for the People and I thought the gallery was beautiful. This may be your only chance to acquire exquisite local works of art early in an artist's career while still within arm's reach and become part of their story. The Friends of the Library sponsors a permanent, rotating art exhibition at the Lake Travis Community Library, which features a different artist each month. Austin Art Garage was created to introduce talented emerging artists and to offer art enthusiasts, from all socioeconomic backgrounds, the opportunity to invest in art created within their community.

In addition to showcasing and selling art, the space is used for events and classes, and the 1750-square-foot building is available for renting events.
